Tammie has loved singing for as long as
she can remember. She began singing with a band
“Gas Food and Lodging” from 1995-1997. Tammie wrote and recorded music from 1995-2008 and joined a recovery
band called Squeaky Clean (2007-2012) - playing mostly covers with some originals. Tammie auditioned for a band she found on BandMix in August of 2014, which
became the Xception. Tammie would not
call herself a “front” woman, but leading this band has invited Tammie to do what she does best... CONNECT! Tammie’ s strong suit is her
ability to connect with people and the song and she bridges the two Xceptionally!
The details of my life are quite inconsequential... very well, where do I begin? My father was a relentlessly self-improving boulangerie owner from Belgium with low-grade narcolepsy and a penchant for buggery. My mother was a fifteen-year-old French prostitute named Chloe with webbed feet.
Garrett has had a profound love of the low end bass groove since a youngster growing up and playing in multiple bands in the music rich Tempe, Az scene of the 90’s. Influenced
by all genres from pop, funk, punk, metal, & country.
Garrett has recorded with several artists and played on stages all over. Garrett took a break from music to support his hobby of engineering things to fly exceptionally fast returning to
music to join the Xception with their wide variety of music and contagious positive energy!
Ed has played drums since he was 5 years old. In addition to drums, he can also
sing and play guitar. Ed has played with
too many bands to name, but one
in particular was Cosmic Slop, an original
funk band from Tucson, AZ. They were the
opening act for George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic. Ed has toured, recorded & has
done session work. Xception fits his style best as the variety of music the band plays showcases his versatility.
